Kevin E. Markes
Attorney
Kevin E. Markes handles Criminal Defense, Family Law, Workers compensation and personal Injury cases at Patel Law. PC. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 2006 and his juris doctor from the University of Illinois College 2009. He was sworn in by the Honorable Rita B. Garmin immediately after passing the bar in November of 2009. Since that time he has diligently pursued the interests of his clients. Attorney Markes has conducted myriad motion hearings, custody hearings, plea hearings, workers’ compensation hearings, and oral arguments. He has taken hundreds of depositions to move cases forward. Each client is placed in a position to advance the case on the best terms. Mr. Markes treats his clients with dignity and respect. He provides solutions. Yesterday cannot be undone, but it can be remediated. In DUI and Criminal matters, an unfortunate misstep need not be the end of the world. In Family Law matters, the breakdown of the relationship between two parents need not disrupt the responsibility to be two excellent parents for the sake of the child or children. What was once referred to as custody is now called parental responsibilities: decision-making and time. These parent-child relationships are of the utmost importance and treated as such. Whether it is a dissolution, an allocation of responsibilities, or a modification, your interests will be protected. The July 1, 2017 change in the child support law has piqued the interest of many given the income shares model. The model, adopted by a substantial majority of the states, potentially reduces the child support obligation of the noncustodial parent in many situations. This modification can be discussed. Regardless of the nature of the matter, it will be handled personally and properly. If your matter fits within the scope of his practice, Mr. Markes looks forward to representing you.
