Baku N. Patel

Attorney

Attorney Baku N. Patel currently handles all of the felony criminal defense and lead counsel on personal injury/wrongful death matters at Patel Law, P.C.
During law school, Mr. Patel commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Upon graduation, he served on active duty as a Navy Judge Advocate General, attaining the rank of Lt. Commander. After service, he was a trial attorney for the Federal Trade Commission then appointed the youngest Chief Public Defender in Illinois at the age of 30. From those experiences and in private practice, Mr. Patel has tried well over 100 jury trials to verdict. In the area of personal injury, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of injury clients.

Aaron Wiener

Attorney

Aaron Wiener focuses his practice in the area of criminal defense, at both the State and Federal levels. He represents clients facing charges ranging from misdemeanors to orders of protection to Class X felonies, and everything in between. Additionally, Aaron’s background in business law and civil litigation provides a unique perspective for defending white-collar criminal matters. Aaron received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law. Outside of the courtroom, Aaron provides volunteer legal services to the Illini Solar Car and Illini eSports student organizations.

Dan Cohen

Attorney

In 1989, Dan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and in 1992, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. For the last 30+ years, Dan has dedicated himself to the representation of clients in all personal-injury contexts, including motor vehicle collisions, product liability, slips and falls, and railroad litigation.

Chae Lee

Attorney

Chae Lee received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Iowa, and attended Chicago Kent College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010. In law school, Chae participated in the legal clinic program, where he worked on disability and vaccine injury cases and also became a certified mediator at the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago. After graduating from law school, Chae gained experience representing clients in various personal injury matters including, but not limited to, car accidents, product liability, wrongful death, and nursing home negligence cases. Chae joined Patel Law P.C. in 2017 where he continues to represent plaintiffs in personal injury matters. Chae regularly volunteers at the Korean American Bar Association’s pro bono clinic, and enjoys serving the Korean community.

Kaleb Hull

Legal Assistant

Kaleb is a Legal Assistant working primarily in Personal Injury. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served four years as a Medic, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He graduated in 2021 from Purdue University Global with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and plans to attend Law School in the future. In his free time Kaleb enjoys reading, watching movies and exercising.

Angie Cooper

Bookkeeper

Angie is the firm’s bookkeeper and Personal Injury case manager and has been with Patel Law Since February 2013. She has over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of areas including Finance, Human Resources and Technology.

Vana

Technical Support and Digital Marketing

Vana provides technical support at Patel Law office and manages their Digital Marketing.
